There are four ways to transfer calls: blind, attended, semi-attended, and direct to voicemail.
The Blind Transfer transfers a call to another extension before the extension rings, and before the person at the extension answers the call.
For example, Emily answers an incoming call and the caller asks for David. Emily wants to perform a blind transfer, so she takes the following steps using a Yealink phone:
- She presses the Tran key or the Transfer button.
- She dials David's extension.
- She presses the Tran key or the Transfer button again, then hangs up immediately.
